Atex ratings and Intrinsically Safe Enclosures for use in Explosive Atmospheres and Clean Rooms
At Armagard we design computer enclosures suitable for nearly any location, including areas where the environment is potentially explosive. A build up of gas or dust in some hostile areas can explode if exposed to a spark from electrical equipment.
Our intrinsically safe computer enclosures are designed to allow the safe use of computers and monitors in potentially explosive atmospheres. Explosive atmospheres can occur in all sorts of facilities from chemical and gas, to food production. Armagard’s intrinsically safe enclosures are the only computer enclosure designed to the European ATEX directive (94/9/EC) for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
Zone 2 and Zone 22 Protection
Our intrinsically safe computer enclosures are Ex approved type N restricted breathing devices that prevent sparks from igniting both dust or vapor build up in an explosive ATEX zone 2 and 22 location.
Airtight Enclosures for Sterile, Clean Room and Laboratory Environments
Armagard’s airtight enclosures are designed for clean and sterile locations to prevent bio-contamination. Ideal for laboratories where protection from bacterial and microbial contamination is essential, these restricted breathing enclosures prevent air escaping or entering the enclosure to ensure the area has controlled level of contamination. Manufactured from stainless steel to allow hose down and cleaning. An airtight enclosure allows the safe use of standard computer and display devices in sterile and clean room locations.
